To ensure the safety of the participants, the host organisation provided had sanitizers and made sure the room was well-aired. Moreover, during the coffee break the participants were divided into  groups in order to allow better distancing.

The event in Świdnik had 42 participants, including teachers of I Liceum Ogólnokształcące w Świdniku, Liceum Śródziemnomorskie w Lublinie, Szkoła Podstawowa nr 3 w Świdniku, Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących nr 1 w Świdniku, Zespół Szkół w Piaskach and Uniwersytet Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej in Lublin. Then Mr Paśnikowski went on to present the website of the TIRAMISU project and showed the participants where each intellectual output was located and how to access it. He discussed in detail the first IO and showed how it could be used both in class and outside the classroom by the students.

After a 30-minute coffee break, the participants took part in 3 workshops devoted to first aid. The teachers who ran this part of the event had taken part in the TIRAMISU project, working on the creation of the intellectual outputs and testing them. Ms. Aneta Seremak talked about the annual First Aid competition that our students have been participating in, and discussed the strategies to prepare the students both for the theoretical and prectical part. Ms. Elżbieta Kulczyńska shared her experiences of testing the Interactive Wizard real-life scenarios with the students who attend the first aid classes. Finally, Ms. Beata Adasik talked about the guidelines (IO.2) and their use in biology lessons.

The organizers thanked everybody for their attendance despite the difficult circumstances connected to the coronavirus pandemic. The participants expressed their interest in using the intellectual outputs as well as the handbook in their work with students.

On the whole, the participants were interested in the intellectual outputs of the “TIRAMISU” project and felt that their impact is really significant. The teachers were enthusiastic about a wide range of material to use in their lessons in order to help students learn the important skills of saving other people’s lives. They also mentioned that the material could be used for self-studying by the students, which is particularly useful during the online learning.
